Hobbies and Skills Courses
The Web is a mine of useful information and many people use it as a means to explore a topic of interest, find out about a new or existing hobby or develop new skills. Computer Friendly run a series of courses aimed at two of the most common and popular past-times that people enjoy: Photography on iPhones/iPads and Family History.
Many people use the internet to keep in touch with friends and family. They have long been able to send text messages and emails, but it is now possible to have video chats via WhatsApp, Zoom and other applications and to share pictures, stories and “likes” via social media sites such as Facebook. Unfortunately the “bad guys” are also using these channels to infect your device and steal your money or defraud you with a scam. However Computer Friendly is on your side and can help you Stay Safe Online (and on the phone).

Historical census records around the world are slowly being digitised and made available for people to search and trace the lives of their ancestors as well as locate lost and unknown relatives. The purpose of this course is to introduce the fundamentals of Family History Research for people with limited experience of the subject, or the use of the Internet, to find important family history records.
