The program is available for all platforms &#8211; Windows, Apple (inc iPad) and Android.<\/p>\n<p>A basic understanding of music reading is necessary and this workshope will demonstrate how you can use Sibelius First to produce a polished score and have some fun! More about <strong>Sibelius<\/strong> and <strong>Sibelius First<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.avid.com\/sibelius\">HERE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There is a follow-on Hands-On workshop where you will be making music on your own device.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"adv_windows\">Find Out about Windows &#8211; Advanced<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Advanced Windows Workshop will cover topics of your choice!<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Your tutor has a long list of subjects of interest: from \u2018Why is my computer so slow?\u2019 to \u2018How do I know my anti-virus is working?&#8217;, or from \u2018Changing the mouse to suit your needs\u2019, to \u2018How do I know I am secure?\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>During this workshop you, the students, decide what which topics are covered.<\/li>\n<li>Bring your Windows laptop with you if you wish.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"encryption\">Find Out About Encryption<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Workshop 1: Secure in the office<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Encryption basics<\/li>\n<li>Memory stick encryption<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Office encryption<\/li>\n<li>Password choice and length<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Workshop 2: Secure in the cloud<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>POP3\/IMAP\/SMTP over ssl if using a local email client<\/li>\n<li>Email encryption: using 7Zip or similar to encrypt attachments, explaining that metadata isn&#8217;t encrypted<\/li>\n<li>How to recognise secure and insecure websites, and what &#8216;secure&#8217; actually means<\/li>\n<li>Cloud services generally, and in particular, cloud storage and how to avoid problems with offshoring zero knowledge services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is recommended but not essential that you attend both of these workshops;
